Snapped Fins

Thermo Cool’s Snapped Fins heat sinks can be manufactured with higher aspect ratios then standard folded fins. This is achieved using conformed thin metal sheets stacked together to produce a snapped fins array. This array creates an increased amount of surface area to dissipate heat while allowing more airflow through the fins. Snapped fins also have the benefit of reducing cost and lead-time. This makes the snapped fins heat sink a more attractive alternative particularly with smaller manufacturing runs where cost and lead time are important. |
